One of the drawbacks Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) technique is that absorbed dose in healthy tissue relatively high. Proton beam has characteristics can compensate for these drawbacks. The Bragg peak characteristic a proton allows administration high radiation doses to target organ only. Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) cases are located vicinity many vital organs, so exceed certain limit will have significant impact on organs. heavy particle exhibits interaction patterns with heterogeneity differ from photon.
